  And I think there could be many other reasons than complacency for low turnout and it is only one polling place which you haven't told us anything about the type of people who vote there and what issues they have. Plus, the fact that DC'ers have no real representation in congress is enough cause to breed indifference -- understandably.

    at least about it being Sheryl, not Cheryl.
    
    I'm not trying to say the sky is falling, just that in my anecdotal experience, turnout was light.
    
    But I'd love to find out at the end of the day that my experience was totally atypical.
