hear from a candidate is exactly what the MSM and opposition could use to take them him/her down. Ignore what they say and look at who they are, where they've been and what they've done. That will be the better guide to what they will do if elected. (The left had the same complaint in '32 and concluded that there was no difference between FDR and Hoover. Had the country not been in a major economic depression, Hoover might have been re-elected.)

I'm not at all confident that things will work out in the way you describe, but I already know how things worked out during the last Clinton presidency.

have to say that they did do a good job at convincing DEMs that there was real peace and prosperity back then) and Clinton II would differ little from Clinton I. The worst case scenario with Obama is no difference from Clinton II but there's a chance that it could be better or even much better. (Just hope that he has the really great minds lined up for that recession thingy which will be way beyond Clintonomics.
