Wasn't there a documentary with a similar name to the book you mention? I remember seeing it when I was teaching high school in Memphis some years ago. It was very very powerful.

Those strikers' signs never fail to send a chill down my spine.

  At the River I Stand? That's also the title of Joan Beifuss's book, which is also an excellent account of the strike. (I think her book is out of print, unlike Honey's.)
