why has she voted for so many of the FTAs that the Bush admin has negotiated?

C'mon! He said he heard from some guy that at some point during the Clinton administration over a decade ago she said something to her husband about his economic policy, conceivably including NAFTA.
That's enough for me to go on!
I know who Obama's veep will be. You can too!

and encapsulating too, in the debates even they went after her for overheard comments, her record is consistent and progressive. I'm okay with Obama, best as vice prez, but I do wish that his campaign was about him and not about her. It's negative. Vote for him cause he isn't a girl, is what it sounds like from the female side of the room.

that boy (oh wait, grown man pushing 50) is okay as long as he doesn't get above his station.
He should stop being so threatening to respectable white women though!

This wasn't publicly reported, but I know a lot of people who worked political circles at the time and was fairly common knowledge that Hillary was against NAFTA. What Susan left out that she was brought on board with the idea that, on balance, NAFTA would do more good than harm. It is also worth noting that Hillary knew full well that welfare reform was a horrible bill, but realized that it helped with Bill's re-election and supported it for that reason only.
Like it or not, Hillary's first instincts are populist. That's not where she ends up, but there's she starts out. Obama's are not. Before you jump up and down, please check my diary history. It is quite clear that I am an Obama supporter. But the simple truth is that Obama has more libertarian leanings, as his solution to the sub-prime crisis illustrates. Again, nothing wrong with that, but that is the truth. I am voting for him because I don't expect him to sell out for re-election. I trust in political skills to allow him to fight for his ideals when they are unpopular. Hillary is as gifted in this regard. She has to tack right on policy to win over detractors.

I meant that Hillary doesn't possess Obama immense political skills and won't be able to win over detractors without actually shifting her positions to the right. In her heart, I believe she is much more progressive. She just can't sell it.

trade deals everywhere? Obama does too, but you are claiming that Hillary is different. If so, why does she coninue to vote for trade deals? Why doesn't she come out and take Bill on over this? I frankly think they both stink on domestic economic issues. That's what comes from privilege - ignorance of how the other half lives.
