It looks as though these hacks got all their information from Joan Claybrook since she was the only person quoted in the article. Her group, Public Citizen is very protective of their relationship with John McCain. When the reporters used the term "campaign finance experts" they attached no names. Why not? It's because they were writing a crock of crap and they knew it. The Times editors should be ashamed of themselves. But I wont hold my breath.
