I appreciate the myth busting about the Clintons, not the Obama camp, being the ones who injected race into this. I think that's worth exploring more because too many people here (and in the RWCM) have dropped their BS detectors and bought the Obama spin.
But why are you attacking Michelle like this?
That's counter-productive and makes you look petty.
In fact, it's not necessary to counter the smear campaign on Bill and Hillary.
And because of that, I can't recommend this otherwise well argued diary.

Obama did not inject race into this campaign THE CLINTONS DID, and was why they were with Maxine and Diane doing their Black Church tour in L.A.
Do you know how they angered this community with those dog whistle tactics? If Clinton does not perform well tonight, put this one to Bill Clinton and The Clintons tactics. Period.
This Week With Barack Obama. Because you need to stay informed.

And if you know politics, you do know that John Lewis was ready to endorse Obama, BEFORE the Salem event. Bill Clinton got on the phone and told him to hold off. He called his chit in. He raised monies for Lewis. The endorsement was tepid, at best.

Campaignng wth Maxine Waters in LA means they injected race into this?
Man, Obama supporters will stoop to anything to falsely define the Clintons as injecting race into this.

I should have added that your comment here was a lot like Joe Lieberman/Dan Gerstein when the day after losing the primary to Ned Lamont they started making a big deal about how Lamont was campaigning with Maxine Waters.
Congratulations.

in the media. That is the point. Look at how it is worded. I have to lack at everything negative being a "hit piece."
by mikepridmore on Tue Feb 05, 2008 at 05:55:13 AM PDT
As I wrote below, my tune changed after I saw that she said she'd have to think about whether to support (or work for) Hillary in the Fall.
That's really divisive and she deserves scorn for that (but not for her the hospital BS).
by dcg2 on Tue Feb 05, 2008 at 06:18:41 AM PDT
It isn't really whether anyone deserves it. Hillary didn't deserve to have $50,000,000 of taxpayer money spent to dig up dirt on her either. We need to get this out now and get it dealt with. That is part of the media's job supposedly, and they aren't doing it.
Obama supporters see this as a hit job on Michelle. But I am talking about the way the press has treated her. I would be happy to hear her explanations for these things. In politics she needs to be ready for all these things and the press, which has given them a mostly free ride up to now, will not be so nice if he is the nominee. Obama supporters don't understand that.
