that what the diarist said is true, though. She's making assumptions.

but are you saying that Keith Olbermann is announcing Dean will hand it to Hillary Clinton or that he thinks there needs to be a candidate earlier than the convention?

But he's saying there are 80 days between the end of the primaries and the convention and then only 60 days to the election. Dean is worried that in those long 80 days leading up to the convention there would be all this wrangling and arm twisting and fighting. Then just 60 days to the election. So he wants to settle it fast.
In a tie, I'm in favor of a brokered convention. First vote, second vote, third vote. So what?

I can see his point, fascinating though a brokered convention would be. His job is to elect Democrats, not to make it exciting in a nibble your fingernails sort of way.
I'm confused by your points here vs. your diary, though. You would be fine with a Clinton candidacy if it was fought out on the floor? Even knowing that superdelegates would hold a lot of the sway? From the diary I got the impression that any result not clear from the primaries/caucuses you would be displeased unless Obama was the nominee, especially since you'd be OK if Dean's strongarming led to an Obama candidacy.
I still trust Dean to come to a fair and equitable solution that will maximize the chances for a Democratic victory in the fall.

from the start of the game to the end. The Super delegate system is flawed but it's what we have. Just don't change the rules! And especially don't change the rules and then screw my candidate.

I don't think a deal would screw your candidate, though. I think the superdelegates just might.
