    1. Posted this on their site?
    1. Publically talked about this in the media?

    or

    1. Sent an email about this to further excite its supporters?

    All legitimate questions...

My point is, some prominent bloggers cited an "unverified email excerpt" for the sole purpose of supporting their chosen candidate.

    And that is irresponsible.

    •  What's irresponsible about it? (1+ / 0-)

They told you the source. That enabled you to evaluate its veracity, which we can see by, well, the fact that you've written a diary evaluating its veracity.

      What's the problem?

      •  It was presented as FACT (0+ / 0-)

Look at Taylor Marsh...she posits this as FACT and only at the bottom does she mention that this is "unverified."

Can you imagine the NYTimes doing this?

        No...

        •  It said unverified? (2+ / 0-)

          What more would you want?

She told you her source, and even said it was unverified. Sounds great.

Could I imagine the NYT doing this? Why would I? Could I imagine the NYT giving DemDog a free page to raise this question? Absolutely not.

Thankfully, we're not actually reading the NYT, so my proposition is this: stop pretending you are.
