Would be a word I'd use to describe her that has no gender overtones (not that arrogant does).  Her discussion of him as VP is presumptuous and disingenuous, but it could work by convincing idiotic voters that voting for her is a vote for BOTH of them.  Hopefully he put that to rest today conveying that it is not a vote for both of them on the same ticket.
