at YouTube.
Man, is there a paucity of history on YouTube or what? Somebody needs to raid the Vanderbilt TV archive, post up their stuff, and free our broadcast legacy.

you made me cry. I don't do that very often. I try very hard to buck that...

It was made by two 7th-grade girls. Dear Lord.
And yes, Mogolori, the Vanderbilt archive has got to be opened up to all. It's everyone's legacy, not just the television networks' legacy, and I am sickened by how hard it is to access & make use of.

fighting to get black voters their right to vote.
not with a guy like this as secretary of state: can you hear the dogwhistle?
here's a hint: "election fraud is a big problem in our country." (even though there's no evidence of it actually happening, unless you adopt the republican definition of fraud, which is black people voting.) then he says, "i'll do what it takes to make sure your vote counts. and while simon here [his dog] may have some strong opinions, he won't be voting in mississippi on my watch. sorry boy."

This is so sad, that people still think this way, act this way, and get away with it.... Good job decoding this BS

In an essay that's had a profound effect on my view of the ethics and practice of politics, the sociologist Max Weber concluded with this definition of politics:
Politics is a strong and slow boring of hard boards. It takes both passion and perspective. Certainly all historical experience confirms the truth--that man would not have attained the possible unless time and again he had reached out for the impossible. But to do that a man must be a leader, and not only a leader but a hero as well, in a very sober sense of the word. And even those who are neither leaders nor heroes must arm themselves with that steadfastness of heart which can brave even the crumbling of all hopes. This is necessary right now, or else men will not be able to attain even that which is possible today. Only he has the calling for politics who is sure that he shall not crumble when the world from his point of view is too stupid or too base for what he wants to offer. Only he who in the face of all this can say 'In spite of all!' has the calling for politics.
Few things in politics come easy, or quickly, or without continued vigilance. People fought to erase the scar of racism for decades before Meteor Blades traveled to Mississippi 44 years ago, and while things have undeniably improved in America, our work is far from complete.
The revolution will not be televised, but we'll analyze it to death at The Next Hurrah.

in Mississippi can now freely vote for another black man who actually has an excellent chance of becoming President of the United States. I am of Meteor Blades generation and its not something that I thought I would see in my lifetime.
Please let us not ever take it for granted or allow history to backslide on this progress we've gained.

He barely even hides it. I guarantee his charge of "election fraud" in Washington is 100% fabrication.
