I'm 49.
Off to makeup.
This is sounding all so very wrong.

when you say it, it is right.
And it is especially right since virtually NOBODY ELSE with a platform in the Corporate Media is saying it.
You don't need makeup, BTW.
Go get 'em.

I doubt he's doing makeup to make himself look pretty. But television lights are glaring monstrosities of illumination, and you need a bit of makeup just to make you look human on the screen.

...comfortable in his manhood, that is. No one can pull off the pink tie like KO. :)
All joking aside, thank you Keith. I can't imagine how you must have struggled with the decision to do this. Thank you for speaking up when others dare not.

Is that even as Ferraro leaves the Clinton campaign in a snit, she's trying to play the martyr. She has the gall to say that she's leaving because the Obama campaign is attacking her.
The world turns upside down...

statement. They are really playing the "wronged woman/women" meme for all its worth. It's all so too bad, Hillary could have taken a wonderful high road, but instead we have this debacle. The American public's cynicism rate is going thru the roof. As much as anything the "kitchen sink" is all about depressing turn-oout & tamping down excitement & participation. Ugh. From a Dem. Thank you Keith for being our amalgam & saying the truth...

Really, Obama "wins" every comparison. Here we have an honest, heartfelt apology to the person and in effect to the party. Compare the two indeed.
And while we're at it: Compare the campaign effectiveness. Compare the campaign organization. Compare the sources and sizes of campaign donations. Compare the divisive appeal to race/sex. Compare the honesty of the public statements. Compare the commitment to inclusive democracy Compare the degree of negativism. Compare the backdoor politics. Compare the disingenuous manipulative politics.
And, Compare the number of pledged delegates. Compare the number of super delegates. Compare the number of states won. Compare the popular vote. Compare the chances of winning the GE.
There is more. Every single thing the Hillary campaign can offer as a positive actually turns out to be more positive for Barack than Hillary. Every negative aspect she brings up, her campaign is more negative. I'm not just being partisan here. This is truly how it seems to me.
Why is this race still going on?
The constitutional crisis was over two years ago. It's been full-scale erosion since then.

She manages to eviscerate herself while criticizing Hillary's campaign while praising Hillary while praising Obama's campaign as above-the-filth. Really, it's a pretty brilliant maneuver. I hope Obama gets her back on his team after the nomination.

Heck, I thought that the mighty Edwards-Obama-Clinton tri-candidate would be the most uplifting, amazing experience...three brilliant candidates, in spirited competition, any of whom would make a fine prez.
Now look at us. Hoping that HRC will just take her slimers and go home. Not how I envisioned this thing going down.

Go get her, Keith. Help put an end to this madness.
And thanks for everything. We love you.

a Special Comment. But I agree it is SC worthy and support your decision to make one. I will be watching. Oh, and dvr-ing too!
Thanks Keith. Maybe she'll listen to you!
Through all your faults and all my complaints, I still love you.

You are not only incredibly smart; you're hillariously funny! Frankly, I believe that you have a magic combo of brains and wit, which is why your show is so popular.
I love that you bring it to DKos too. It's a wonderful treat to have you pop in from time to time like this! Thanks for the laugh, and have fun in makeup! ;-) lol

You told it like it is with Bush, and now you are bringing it home to the Clintons. As many women have said today, the behavior of Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro is not what we want to hold up to our daughters as role models. It is shameful and I am so grateful that you are taking this head on and call it what it is. Blatant race-bating. Shameful and disgusting. Go for it!
And THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This above all: to thine own self be true. Then it must follow as the night the day Thou canst not then be false to any man.
I was shocked by Howard Fineman's report last night that this rhetoric [Ferraro's, not Polonius'] is likely not accidental. Your self-doubt does you credit, but you're not the one in the wrong here.
If you've any qualms, just satisfy yourself that what you say on the air isn't about who should or should not be President, but who is or is not serving the national discourse that lets us the people make the best decision.
I keep thinking of John Kerry in 2004: "The high road is harder, but it leads to a better place."
Peace be with you, KO.

When Hillary says that speeches don't matter I always think of the Battle of Britain. I think of Churchill's words...as they dug out from the rubble. There he was. Short. Stumpy. Chewing on a cigar. The words he spoke did mean something.
I need Obama's words to dig out of the rubble.
