I can tell you as a citizen of New Jersey though - where our Governor resigned over a sex scandal - that there was a silver lining on the cloud and disgrace, and that was Richard Codey.
It is too bad, I think, that Richard Codey did not run - in spite of Corzine's money - in his own right.
He was an outstanding Governor of whom all New Jerseyans could be very proud, a true native son. He did an outstanding job bringing dignity and grace back to our state.
We all wish the new Governor of New York all the best. He seems to be an impressive and fine man and hope he can help the State of New York, the State where I was born, achieve its full potential.
As for Spitzer and McGreevey and for that matter Bill Clinton, I am at a complete loss as to why these men couldn't keep their pants on.
What could possibly be wrong with fidelity, not only to one's spouse but also to the public?
Ignorance Kills.
