When Howard Dean made that outrageous "white Christian" comment a few years ago, every single possible Democrat paraded to the media and expressed his or her utter outrage and disgust over such a horrible, horrible remark. (If only they could be so choreographed when opposing Bush, but I digress.)

  This time, they've resisted piling on. In McCain's case the motives are obvious -- he deosn't want talk about Hagee or Parsley. In the Clinton campaign's case it's probably because they don't to alienate whatever remains of their African-American support...
