      A Make Or Break Moment

But Obama’s problem is not so much what Wright believes or says. I know respected theologians in Chicago and elsewhere who admire his erudition and fire, and who say that he is a complex, good-hearted soul who has done much good for his flock.

No, the fast-developing problem is how Obama has handled the matter.

He and his top aides have started to give excuses and split hairs with the enthusiasm (if not quite the surgical skill) of a Bill or Hillary Clinton. And for Obama it is not a good thing to start to sound like either.

      The fuckin' MSM!  SHeeeesh.

that the meme is morphing away from Wright...and the totally indefensible attacks, IMHO...to comments about Obama's "parsing" just like Clinton.  It's a stretch.  And it sucks.  But that's where I hear Fineman heading.  Now, at the same time, he may be setting Obama up for one of those "oh my god, he hit it out of the ball park" moments.  So...I just think that anxiety over this, at this point, while human...is neither helpful nor healthful.

      •  Wait. Make or break. (0+ / 0-)

Wasn't Clinton supposed to win OH and TX by overwhelming blowouts to remain viable. Wasn't that a make or break moment for her? Didn't seem to make or break her from what I can tell.

The breathlessness and overly-dramatic predictions by the media would be funny of they weren't so f!cking idiotic. Glad I don't watch this crap anymore.
