saying that the mantra for Bush-Cheney-McCain was always 'more troops for more time'. I think John McCain is about as likely to suggest an end to war in Iraq as George Bush is to suggest a tax hike for the wealthy (ain't ever gonna happen).
Love that "power of the purse!" It looks so nice up there on the mantle (and not the table) next to the "subpoena power."

They knew they couldn't "win" in 'nam back then, but couldn't put their pride down and get out. So many died for a policy they knew was not do-able.
