Here's why Hillary is so impressive
She gets picked for the board of WalMart when she was just 38.
Now imagine being 38 years old and getting put on the board of one of the biggest companies in the world. This was an opportunity that any young lawyer would dream of -- a chance to make your career take off.
How does she handle it. Instead of going along to get along, she, as the youngest member and only female, takes on the board and pushes them to advance women's rights within the company and enviromental rights.
She wasn't satisfied with WalMart's progress on woman's issues -- she never said they complied with federal law -- but as just one vote on a huge board pushed through significant changes to employment practices.
On the environment, her record was phenomenal. She got Walmart to build energy efficient "green" stores. At first, they ridiculed the idea, but its become their standard.
She got Wal Mart to adopt packaging restrictions for its vendors to cut down on waste -- remember those huge CD cases from the 80s? Not only did she succeed, but WalMart, due to its size, has transformed packaging throughout the world, making it less wasteful in order to adhere to Hillary's standards.
And she did this as a young woman with just one vote on a board stacked with much older, very successful and egotistical, white republican men. That's a leader.

Was she also behind the Internet?

but she did push wal-mart to seek less packaging from its suppliers, and that effort continues at wal mart to this day.
It not only reduces waste, but it reduces energy because there is less to haul by truck.
