He was one of Russ Feingold's "Pick a Progressive Patriot" candidates this past round. I think he came in second to another very worthy candidate, Rick Noriega. I voted for Rice, though. ;)
It also helps that Inhofe is one of the LCV's "Dirty Dozen" lawmakers this cycle. They have a very good record of taking down incumbents. Oklahoma hasn't exactly been what you'd call a Democratic stronghold in recent years, but things just might be looking up.

second, but still got a great contribution from the Progressive Patriots because of so much support from netroots. Thanks for voting - to classico and everyone else.

Both Udalls (CO and NM), Noriega, Rice...pretty much everybody on the list was a very worthy recipient. Really you could throw an e-dart.
I think that just speaks well in general to the fact that over the past couple of years, Dem's have been able to field good, strong, progressive candidates who can win in even Republican strongholds. This sort of thing is good to read in the midst of the candidate wars....

may have won because Texas netroots are better organized on a state level. Which is why I'm trying to do the same for Oklahoma. I have started a Sooner Kos list, for instance:
