Somehow, I don't see McCain getting nailed by the powers that be.

The publicity will make him look like a hypocrite and cost him the maverick straight-talker image. We can hammer these for all of august when there's nothing else to talk about, and he won't even be able to spend money to get a contravening message out. This is good news.

I'm getting the dry heaves just thinking about how much of a non-issue this will be made to be, all the lame excuses offered further by McConnell and friends in politics and media, and SCOTUS.
