before the primary flame wars heated up.  There were always a couple of interesting -- and not necessarily politically-related -- items to read on the "recent diaries" roll, if not on the front page.

But these days?  I visit Daily Kos maybe once in the morning and a couple of times in the afternoon.  I can't stand the vitriol in most primary diaries, and there aren't enough non-candidate diaries on the site anymore to tempt me to stick around.

God, I just want a candidate -- either candidate -- to be nominated by the Democratic Party, so we can focus on beating the &*%! out of John McCain.
