I wondered when Michael Kempner would surface in my mileu. I worked for him in the 90's.
He's a bull in a china cabinet.
His secretary had her own secretary. He was that kind of a guy.

Prison overcrowding is a problem that Republicans have done much to contribute to. And likely to continue with in the future. It would be ironic if the economy were saved by a massive TVA type prison building problem entirly caused by the need to house convicted Republicans

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A federal court has given attorneys for former Gov. Don Siegelman and HealthSouth founder Richard Scrushy until May 23 to file briefs in the appeal of their 2006 convictions. The Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday issued the filing deadline. Prosecutors have 60 days after May 23 to file a response. Defense lawyers have 45 days after that to file a second brief. Siegelman lawyer Vince Kilborn of Mobile said he expects to file the first appeal brief in April. He estimated oral arguments on the case could be heard in late 2008.

Let's Draft Siegelman for U.S. Senator. The filing deadline is next week, April 4.
There's a nice lady in the race already, but she's gonna lose, so why not let Siegelman make the race? He can't lose. If he isn't elected in November, he will still win by going around the state telling where the real corruption is in Alabama and in D.C.
