because that it exactly what some unknown portion of this party's leadership is thinking.  The party's screwing up all right.  Because they are contemplating rejecting a superior candidate.  People think this is mere manipulation or sour grapes or "revenge," but the Democratic party has more of its credibility on the line now than the leadership might think.  Patently obvious that Obama's race is being seen as a liability by some unknown percentage party leaders, and he's having to suffer the rancid attentions of a vicious competing campaign because of it.
