making an honest effort to curb smoking.  The patch, hotline, meds...all free.  They have anti-smoking classes, very few approved smoking areas.  All gov't buildings are smoke free.  No smoking images ect allowed in military publications, posters on office walls.

Personally I think it is a class issue.  As long as the military draws more of the lower class to its ranks, smoking rates will always be higher than the general population.

As if there isn't enough that kills our servicemembers...
