Speculating yesterday about Ed Rendell, and specifically why the old politicos don't understand Obama...
Obama's campaign structure will increase the number of Democrats at every level. Even in states we don't have a chance of winning at the Presidential level will have more grass roots activism--the beginning of 100 years of Progressivism.
I used an analogy. You set up your hedge trimmer at the back border of the lawn, and suddenly realize your power has been cut off at the plug. That's what might just happen to the "Washington-centered" old school pols as they ignore the grass roots.

To realize is that Obama is not as popular in some states as in others. To assume that his prescense on the ticket guarantees success downticket in places like KY, TN, OH, and OK is not really very smart. We MUST support our Congressional and Senate candidates individually there. Hey, you can start here!!!:
