I kid, I kid. I've always greatly enjoyed TPM as well.
And, on a completely superficial note, I've always cravenly envied Josh Marshall his headshot photo: the serious expression, the glasses, the aura of ever-so-intellectual gravitas. I tried having a similar photo taken when I had my own blog, but it made me look like a slightly dyspeptic tax accountant. Gravitas: you either got it or you don't.

All those thousands of pages one has to read makes the brow permanently furled. (And abuses the eyes so one needs glasses!)
As a historian, I appreciate Josh's occasional mention of his old grad student colleague Ari Kelman's work. Kelman's environmental history of New Orleans has, to understate things, relevance to contemporary policy discussions in this country. That said, I go to TPM for first-rate political reporting.
