six am and taking our Weimaraner for a walk. I'm so tired though it's quite a chore for me (overweight) but I've managed to do it (Whining puppy is a good motivator).
Oh but my legs are sore, more my joints than anything else and for good reason, I have more of me to carry around. It's very frustrating once you get to this place to get yourself out. I wish I had the energy of my five year old or our puppy, they are nonstop go go go.
Ultimately I just want to be healthier, I will never be "thin" thin again, it was too hard for me, one meal a day, etc. not worth it. Healthy is a more realistic goal but pain can be frustrating, it's quite the un-motivator.

Starting is the hardest part! Stretch a bit - hamstrings and quads.
I will never be thin either - and I'm not sure I can lose a lot of weight while eating bread. It's easier to not eat it at all than control myself to two measured portions.
is it Mojo Friday yet?

much appreciated. Full time job, child and existing health conditions can make things some people take for granted harder than they need to be.

It works for me...sometimes. My dog will run to the front door all excited when I get up and is always disappointed when I head straight to the kitchen instead.
I also am carrying too much weight for my body. My knees act up, but the worst part of all is that I CAN'T walk too much -- I have plantar fasciitis and if I overdo it my feet complain painfully.
Healthy is a great goal. That's what I'm aiming for. Plenty of fruit and veggies, movement everyday. I may not be running any marathons any time soon, but it does feel good to ride the bike around the block, walk the dog, lift a few weights, and stretching.

i wore my teva sandals constantly for 2 years and ended up with pf - it really sucked.
i used cold soda cans as an "ice pack" - ice was too cold for my tender tootsies. i rolled them under my feet.
the marathon i finished - i walked it.

I have a frozen can of beans that I use for my ice pack. I just wish that I could get over the pain and be more active. Of course, it makes for a very good excuse when I don't want to be active. ;-)

I have plantar fasciitis also - and that achilles issue, and the elliptical machine doesn't irritate my feet. It takes some getting used to, but I think it is worth it. Also - how about swimming?

I figured that it would still put pressure on my feet. I'll have to try it. I'm about to start a membership up again with the local athletic club. It has a pool. And yes, swimming doesn't hurt my feet at all.

it is weird at first, but I grew to love it because of the non-impact-ness. If you have knee issues (did I mention I have knee issues?), start slow & pay attention to form.

Have you tried shoe orthotics? Both my mom and my husband suffer from that and they both swear by them. He's been religious about always wearing his, even when at home and has noticed a huge improvement in his abilities. Tendons take forever to heal, so you just have to be patient.

issue with pf as well, my feet hurt near the heel underneath? It's sore most of the time.

I've learned to wear good shoes, but I still don't ice and wrap my foot like I should.
