Obama sat in front of the camera (which was not rolling at the time) with an earpiece in listening to the show being taped. He swung his right leg back and forth and at times chuckled, grinned and laughed.
Aw! Barack really likes the Daily Show! This is strangely exciting for me.

ala chris matthews, but I'm looking forward to this appearance as well. Sen. Obama has one of the more genuine senses of humor of any candidate, as he showed on Colbert last week. It should be good.

Barack really likes the Daily Show!
And I think it's mutual, which gets me strangely excited. I'm always happy when someone I admire, like Jon Stewart, also pulls for the candidate I admire.
Also, I like the way Obama handles himself when he makes appearances on The Daily Show. Rightly or wrongly, I judge politicians by how well they do in that environment. Some try too hard to be funny and top everything Jon says, which never works; some are so stiff and humorless that they become instant targets for mockery; and then some have that natural rhythm with Jon (or Stephen,) letting the hosts get their jokes and comments in, making a few witty comments themselves and mainly just relaxing and having fun. The it-getters always do well on TDS and Obama definitely gets it.
