Check this shit out:
How big was Senator Clinton’s Keystone State win, and why is the media obsessed with double digits?
The Day Before
She has to win the popular vote by more than 10.5% or the media will say she didn’t beat expectations (and her Ohio margin).

a World Series game score is 16 to 6 going into the ninth inning. The commentators are desperate to say anything that will keep the audience tuned in -- so they natter about the four-run eighth inning that brought the score to within 10 runs. The game is effectively over, but in the case of Clinton rules, the argument is that only the last two innings count.

"the all important popular vote." First no one can really count it because of the mix of elections and caucuses. Second, the party rules give NO WEIGHT to the popular vote. If my party wants to keep me happy, it will NOT screw Washington (and the other "unimportant" states) that have given Obama a margin of victory that cannot be overcome--that is, unless the rules are changed in the ninth inning.

Al Gore? None, for the simple fact that no matter how democratic it seems, we have a republican (small r) election process, and the same goes for the nomination process. Obama's DH is pounding Hillary, and she's trying to play National League rules.

analogy before I saw yours. You are right, Clinton needs more runs than outs, and she's only breaking even at best considering how few contests are left.

...It's inconceivable how idiotic these traditional media hacks are.
Could you imagine Kos coming to this site tomorrow & proclaiming: "As of Now, I Endorse Hillary Clinton."
Then after the shitstorm subsides in a couple of weeks, he says: "I am Now For Obama Again."
Then a couple of weeks after that, he says: "Seriously, I am for Hillary. And this Time it's Final."
Well, Halperin & his ilk pull this shit constantly.
Of course, the big perk to being such a phony airhead is that it allows them (Halperin & co.) to fail upward.

I was talking with my 85 year old mom still running the 1600 acre crop farm in mid-Michigan today. She is a very feisty, smart and fairly liberal 5', petite woman. While we were all visiting my relatives/neighbors in Michigan over Christmas, everyone, including my mom and my huge extended family were supporting Obama. (mostly union and GM employees, farmers) My mom made the comment to me today that she wished that Obama would say the "Pledge"! After explaining the truth to her about that barbecue, I coaxed the fact out of her that she constantly hears it on the news, along with Obama having been a Moslem. "Bless her heart" as she is still voting for Obama but we need to get our GOD DAMN corrupt, corporate controlled media fixed. My mommy should be allowed to trust her "National News". peace, mjd
I trust Barack Obama.
