I remember my "early world history" book. There were a few pages devoted to the Greeks. Socrates was limited to a picture of an old man drinking. The caption read, "Socrates drinks hemlock." There was no explanation about who Socrates was, what hemlock was, and why he was drinking it.
There were several chapters devoted to Jesus. I don't remember much else.

And on top of that, the son of heaven is misusing words. When the Son of Heaven uses words like "prince" to mean "dictator," and when he does not behave benevolently towards the people, Heaven revokes its mandate causing floods, fires, typhoons and famine.
We should become like water and seek the lowest point. The emptiness in the vessel is what matters.
Okay, some Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism. I think I'll go climb Mt Fuji now.

that I was in undergraduate school before I started learning what we did to American Indians. Before that, Hollywood was the teacher on that subject.
