Not worried about those GE matchups -- yet.

... Obama's numbers will improve. Besides, IMHO, national polls are less accurate predictors than state-by-state matchups of how people will vote to determine who leads in the Electoral College.
Obama may lose some states that Hillary would win, but I truly believe he can beat McCain in states where Clinton could never be competitive. The 50-state strategy he and Dean are using gives him more paths to victory in November.

It's a Pennsylvania poll. Pennsylvania is a bit bluer than the nation as a whole, so if Obama is trailing McCain there, that's bad news.

... against McCain in November. Right now the protracted battle with Hillary is hurting Obama more than her, and McCain is getting a free ride from the press. We have plenty of time to turn this around ... as long as we don't spend all summer tearing each other apart and then go in to the convention without a clear nominee by that late date.

But if this poll is accurate, it shows that Obama has not been able to repair the damage done by the Wright fiasco. If he can't do that, he simply has no chance against McCain.
