that's like free money, right? The Bush government has been like the average American consumer. Running up debt like they don't have to pay the money back, until they reach their financial breaking point.
And like the American consumer, if we keep going down this current path, the government is going to lose its house.

A tip jar would keep your posts in the recommended diaries section longer and your information is worth discussing and progressives really should be more familiar with the information that you always present.
Thanks for your efforts.

that first comment. These are mostly graphs that bonddad has used in the past. Which is fine with me because apparently there is a real knowledge deficit out there on these facts.

How do you know a Republican is lying? Ask one: If the Republicans can lower gas prices for 60 days before an election, why won't they do it all the time?

They don't have to pay it back. They're leaving office in Jan. '09. We have to pay it back, and you know how much they care about us and our problems.

an illusion. If I was given a credit card on which I could charge anything and not have to worry about interest, I would buy (on credit) a big apartment, new furniture, clothes, more expensive food, etc. I would certainly look like I'm doing well but it would be an illusion, which would continue until the bill really came due. You know we're going to be stuck with the bill.

without all those stinkin rules (sorry we can't show it to you, it's a secret), and we got a vast program for militarizing space that the media has quite thoughtfully kept secret for 8 years, and we got 500 families who are VERY HAPPY about the $1 trillion that Dubya gave them, and we got a whole new reputation all around the world.
