the fact that you'd rather talk about substantive issues than Reverend Wright is not too relevant. The question is how do we get some of the people who voted for Bush to vote for Obama, or at least bring in enough people who didn't vote at all to make up the difference. I'm quite sure that Obama has the "substantive issue" vote locked up.

  If you look at the approval rating of Bush as of late, and as both Obama and Clinton have done, label McCain as BushIII, then you have a good starting point. Believe me, McCain is getting a free ride, even Pat Buchanan stated that on MSNBC tonight. Every candidate goes through ups and downs, it is how their supporters react that make the difference.
