  matching funds coming-didn't he? In any case, a shoe sting campaign that would've gotten a jolt when he did well in Ohio and Tx.
  
  What he needed to do was stay in until the deficiencies of the other candidates became apparent.
  
  And with him in, the campaign wouldn't have gotten so ugly.
