  •  I wrote about it in context. (5+ / 0-)

Did you read it in context? I sat on this diary since Pennsylvania because I wanted to be fair. Did you actually read it?

Many nuggets of "conventional wisdom" aren't necessarily wise.

If you have something against her as a politician then say it.  Leave people's private lives and decisions out of it.
If you're an Obama supporter then write about how great he is, instead of devoting an entire diary on why she is messed up in the head.

      •  As a politician...she is the same as anyone. (2+ / 0-)

A person who has many things that contribute to her choices, decisions, insights and characteristics and a three plus decade married to Bill Clinton certainly qualifies. Life is not lived in a vacuum.

Nor should they. You wouldn't give David Vitter or Larry Craig the same protections. Her psychological make up is dependent upon her experiences. People that have live through trauma, such as a cheating husband or a failed marriage, exhibit some of the same psychological traits she does. t is definitely something that should be taken into consideration when selecting a POTUS. Bush had lime disease. Lime disease affects your mental capabilities thereby effecting judgement. All these things are very similar.

Yes, I would give Larry Craig the same protection.
Secondly, I was mocking the diarist for saying he/she "doesn't care" about the Clinton marriage and yet writes about it.

if he weren't such an adamant proponent of anti-gay legislation. I understand that you are mocking the diarist, but I think you misunderstood the diarist. No one cares about a politicians marriage, a private affair, until it bleeds over into the public realm, where it becomes our concern.  That was my interpretation of the diary. I could be wrong.

But the Monica Lewinsky issue should not be off limits anyway because of the way Hillary Clinton herself alludes to it as shaping her character and making her stronger. Every time she says things like "Everyone knows I've lead a hard life, blah, blah, blah..." So she's allowed to talk about it positively, but we can't criticize her actions and the apparent hypocrisy of her recent actions in comparison. It's akin to her claiming all the good in the Clinton WH while disassociating herself from all the bad.
