let's say I was on a panel where the wingnut criticized Al Gore for linking global warming to hurricanes. Instead of arguing what Gore did or did not say -- now doubt our joint insticntive response -- I've learned to use more effective media soundbite tactics. As in: "Mr Wingnut, your party's guru linked deadly Hurricanes to a gay pride parade, so I think I'd shut my yap about science before I made a bigger ass out of myself and my party on national television than you already have."

everyone knows that friction causes heat and the resulting friction in the aftermath of a Gay Pride parade certainly adds to global warming. So Gay Pride parades do cause hurricanes. Science doesn't lie.
