when all the aging people treat aging like it's the worst thing in the world these days, does it?  

No wrinkles! Horny into your 70s! It gets a bit excessive.  As in like, the environment can't support all of us millions of people not only already overconsuming but now turning ourselves into something we're not with pills that poison our water sources and thousands of dollars washed down the crapper when we've got third world corners of our own country... Anywho...

Age-shame only convinces people that it's ok to defer age in any way possible because the ideal is something fleeting and untenable.  If you don't want younger people to be ageist, think about the undertones of how age is treated.
