Lameduck Preznit is starting to look a tad worried about that legacy thing, whereas Hillary is content to trash her and Bill's reputations and the party and feminism and race relations and...
I don't know what preznit Bush is so worried about, he's number one! The worst President in the history of America. It takes some doing to sink to those depths. It's hard work. He's finally the best at something by being the worst at it. He beat his Pappy by miles.
Clinton is still digging her political grave and seems to be unconcerned about the potential fallout of her words and actions.

Hillary has a Senate seat for life. She will grieve for a while, then get back to work in the Senate.

Not so sure about that, anymore. She's burned a lot of bridges with the Party's base here in New York.

against her in the primary. I would probably donate to that candidate.
I still say Hillary has that seat for as long as she wants it.

The Senate seat was obviously a stepping stone and I'm not sure she'd want to live with the diminished power after losing the brass ring.
I'd love to see her become all her supporters claim she can be. If she'd stop running for president maybe she would be. Let's just say I haven't been too impressed with her judgment calls and she's done nothing but confirm those impressions in this primary. If she wants to be a powerful Senator she probably can be, but she's got her work cut out for her for several reasons.
With all the Judases and "deads to me" I wonder just how many of her colleagues will be "relevant" when all is said and done. She better hope the bridges she burned along the way will be rebuilt. But that's entirely up to her.
Her and Bill's legacies have been badly tarnished by their words and actions during this primary. That's no delusion. Nor is her pettiness. People will be watching their back around her. It doesn't seem like it would be a work-friendly environment.
The way I see it she will either negotiate a better position with more power (and those who voted against her will shudder in fear of reprisal) or she will join Bill in his philanthropic pursuits and join in the big bucks speaking tours.
As for GWB, who cares? He's history, but he seems to be a little more concerned with his legacy than she is and it's been fun watching him flail about trying to look competent and presidential (heading out of country) while being as idiotic as ever.
As for him being done forever -- don't think so. America is going to have to live with his mistakes for decades. The Bush legacy will unfortunately linger on.
If the country manages to survive the fuckups of GWB it will be a miracle. No matter who gets elected, they've got a freaking mess on their hands. At least Obama has proven he has the ability to hire competent people. He's gonna need them.
