She's burned too many bridges for that. A non-starter political fantasy - nothing more.

just like the fantasy that anyone had a chance of unseating her, the presumptive nominee, in 2007-land!

Her supporters would support her again in 4 years, and I fear enough of us will forget 2008 by then.

the hard core that still would be left - would not be enough to elect her dog-catcher.

why do you think most of Obama's supporters would? Moreover, if he loses there are others who'd be happy to run again "provenly dedcisive" HRC. I'd bet damned good money she'd have trouble getting viability in Iowa, let alone winning with her "caucuses are unfair" remarks replayed, no? And those stiffed vendors - remember them?

but a lot of her supporters, who are older than this grandma, will... but it will be due to Alzheimers or other medical problems.

I'll be busy helping to build a real liberal coalition for the next four years. It won't be hard. With the country dragging into the Grand Depression while McCain stumbles around trying to polish a turd, people will be fed up.
Hillary is playing with fire.

NOT.
Why does anyone think we live in usual times? We don't. The old rules don't work.
We are in a paradigm shift. Hold on to your hats.
You guys should really read the book "The World is Flat" it predicted this election.

African Americans, eggheads (and African-American eggheads), moveon supporters, ie the DEMOCRATIC BASE have been dissed enough. It's over for her presidential ambitions. She is aiming to extort Obama for VP slot, and I hope she doesn't get it.
McCain insisted [no union member] would [pick lettuce for $50/hour] for a complete season. "You can't do it, my friends."

The 'intertubes' doesn't.
The 2012 election cycle is just over 2 1/2 years away!!!! Not four years. It would start at the beginning of 2011 at the latest. Isn't that one of the most depressing things you've read today?
But all those little bits of praise for McCain (who'd be the incumbent under this scenario) will be played over and over and over. And if this cycle showed a hunger for change, we'd be starved for it after years of McCain. More years in Washington will NOT make Clinton the agent of change.
We have some good people coming up through the ranks. And I think many of them would have a better chance for the nomination than Clinton.
Besides, Democrats don't pick losers from earlier cycles (Gore only made it by running from the sitting VP position; before that, I think you have to go back to McGovern).
And THAT'S why she can't bring herself to drop out. This is her ONLY chance and she knows it. If it's at the point where it will take a meteor landing on Obama to have a chance, she'll stay in and pray for a meteor.

the best funded primary candidate in US history when she runs for reelection for the US Senate. Hopefully, President Obama will make every campaign stop in NY with Hillary's primary opponent, calling for voters to vote for real Democrats.

In 4 yrs everyone will be 4 yrs older or dead. That means 4 more years worth of younger voters. That won't help Hillary.

too sick to vote. Time indeed is not on Hillary's side.
