It's basically Syrah, just from Australia, but I still feel like there's a subtle yet delightful difference.
I like the idea of applying your solution to Florida as well, though I might opt for a white wine, given the warmer climate.

...when talking about 'em, just 'cause I like the word "Syrah" better. I'm trying to remember... Jacob's Creek? I think that was the first Australian I had. Very nice.
Sure, the recipe might work for Florida. Maybe a hint of orange or raspberry in the glaze for a "citrusy" fresh flavor?
I'm not up on my whites, any recommendations?
