campaign here in Oregon for the last few weeks, I totally agree with your remarks about this organization. I have ever been prouder to be a member of a particular political campaign. "Include, empower, and respect" is not just a slogan for the Obama folks. People who have not yet had the pleasure of being a part of this campaign are really missing out.

I received such a warm welcome in Nevada and Colorado, volunteering for the campaign. There were times when I doubted the effectiveness of some of our methods, but in Colorado, they functioned exactly as planned. Identify supporters, make sure they are registered to vote, maintain contact and GOTV!!!!!!!! Include, empower and respect indeed.

Obama should be holding secret talks with Gore in order to convince him to take the VP position on the ticket where Gore would be responsible for the US Global Warming Policy and the establishment of an Environmental Industrial Complex where millions of jobs would be created, innovations would be developed for the US and the world and Gore would have the opportunity to go down in history as the man who was in charge of 'an Environmental Marshall Plan for the US and the World' which saved the planet and decreased our dependency on fossil fuels.
What is Gore being offered outside government which would have the same impact if he was VP and in charge of the aforementioned!!
He could leave after one term if he felt he was of more use outside of the administration but Gore will never have as great a chance to make an impact on real change without being part of the government. He can be a great cheerleader for the world outside of government but nothing will ever significantly change unless government leads and mandates change.
Gore would be an unconventional VP in that the ceremonial duties(funerals, diplomatic travel, etc) which the VP has done historically could be done by another position in the government as Gore's plate will fe full with the most important and meaningful specific job in government as outlined above.
