to declare, "Sorry, the black guy may've won fair and square, but we simply can't award the nomination to a black guy, so we're giving it to the white lady." It astonishes me that someone could make such a blatant request for discrimination on racial grounds and (more or less) get away with it. I think Peggy Noonan (whom I usually disagree with) had it right when she said that once again, a Clinton is making us turn off the sound on the television in case there might be children listening.

And I agree about focusing on Hillary...I hesitated before posting this, but I thought it would still add value to the dialog. But I am as anxious to focus on McCain as everyone.
