  •  Pessimistic about democrats, voters, America (4+ / 0-)

She's not racist, but she thinks YOU are. My diary:

HRC's saying that whites are racist and won't vote for a black man; indeed, she's implying that HER OWN SUPPORTERS are racist and won't vote for a black man, as proven by the fact she's getting a lion's share of whites.

Now, maybe she thinks that's reality, but I say it illustrates a fundamental difference between HRC and Obama.

HRC is campaigning to the SDs and media, telling them that a debased and stupid electorate simply won't vote for someone who black, or smart, or unwilling to go supernova negative.  That's an argument to the SDs because as you might expect, voters don't like it, but also because she really thinks that SDs are there to be a control on a debased and stupid democratic party.  She's saying, "Do your job, the voters are ignorant of the fact they are stupid and are bamboozled by talk of them being capable of making decisions."

Similary, her swing to the gas tax shows that she's never going to appeal to people's intelligence, and never going to assume a voter will act in the national interest if there's thirty bucks in it for him.

Along with the gas tax holiday is the IWR vote, the "obliterate" comment, keeping nukes on the table for anytime anywhere, residual force in Iraq, Kyl Lieberman, 3 am, 9/11, and a whole host of triangulations on national security.  She really thinks that the willlingness of voters to be bamboozled by fear and war talk is a republican strength, and that the smart politics demands that she get close to the republicans and become Bush Lite.

Whereas after an Obama speech, people say "he spoke to me like I was an adult".

Offshore Oil/NatGas is our Strategic Reserve. Save it for when the rest of the world runs out.
