but is it worse for your resume to bail on a loosing campaign, or stick it out until the end?

Would I prefer to hire someone who denies, until the end, that the campaign is over and is willing to go on national TV and look like a total moron? Is that tenacity or idiocy? I don't know. I'll have to think about that.

It isn't an easy question.
Watching that poor Tim McWhatever guy squirm on Meet the Press was amusing. If I was in his or any of their shoes, hmm..... I'd feel like shit for bailing, honestly. But there are a lot of factors involved.
It is a good question.

Why should I hire you if you are going to bail when our going gets tough? If you bailed on her campaign and didn't help her save her face, what if I am loosing my race? After all, bailing on a campaign makes the candidate look bad. Do you think you are above helping to save my face?
You really have to admire these people, honestly. They are in a tough spot. I'd rather hire Tim McWhatever then some jerk who bailed on her when the going got tough (or started consulting with the Columbians ;-).
