  •  Stop just caring about one issue (5+ / 0-)

My husband use to be a Republican has come to the conclusion that voting for one issue is a terrible idea. Hagel is more than pro-life, he is a honorable and intelligent man.  Read his book and do some research before you condemn him

The definition of insanity is voting the same way and expecting a different result. I'm talking to you FL,OH, KY, WV!

no nothing about the people on the other side of the aisle.  Anyone who equates Hagel to Bush is seriously uninformed.

Read the Epilogue of Audacity of Hope. The answer is in there.

    •  What kind of assumptions are you making? (0+ / 0-)

I am not a one-issue voter.  And, I know plenty about Hagel. I have watched him with respect for several years now. I actually like the guy.

However, an anti-choice VP is wrong for Obama in more ways that I can count. Puleeze.

      •  But in the end of your answer you condict (0+ / 0-)

You said you are not about one issue, but you end your reply with "However, an anti-choice VP for Obama".  Do know that not all "anti-choice" are bad people"?  You are ruling him out just because one issue.

You think an anti-choice candidate is appropriate after 8 years of Evangifundalism?  Just askin'

I am kind of a one-issue voter, but that issue is the environment, not choice.  Not seeing any great shakes out of Hagel on that issue either.

Sen. Hagel is a fine man.  He would be great in the cabinet.  I just do not want him a heartbeat away from ruling this nation.  We can do better.

          •  no, lets talk about you (0+ / 0-)

In a match up between Obama/Hagel and McCain/Someguy, are you seriously going to vote McCain because of Hagel?  I doubt it, right?

No, who Obama picks for VP is not for you.  You are already in his pocket for this election.  You, and more importantly him, need to think other voter blocks beside the dailykos voter block.
