Work something out for the voters, and the pledged delegates from them. Stripping the supers won't disenfranchise the voters, now will it?
And won't Carl Levin et al. throw a fit? Maybe they'll learn to behave. That and if they'd scheduled their primary for, say, April 7, they would have gotten tons and tons of attention and influence in the process.
John McCain voted against health care for kids.

I don't care that much about the pledged delegates. I trust Howard Dean to come up with an answer to that.
The supers should NOT be seated. Won't happen because they think they're better than us mere voters, but it damn well should.

Figure out some way to seat a delegation, but without seating the superdelegates. DON'T reward the politicians who were too clever by half in playing with the primary schedule.

and it's kinda like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I mean, why would you want to vote against Kildee or Stupak over this when they do a good job in Congress? It's just plain dumb. In addition, how do you get at people like debbie dingell or joel ferguson or Ron Gettlefinger? I can vote against Gettlefinger as a UAW retiree, but this doesn't have anything to do with UAW policies, so why the hell would I do that?
Stabenow doesn't come up for re-election until 2012 and we couldn't even scrape someone up to run against her last year when she had an abyssmal torture vote. Good luck finding someone to primary Carl Levin too. The pubs can barely scrape someone up to give him a credible general election run.
The only way to get at these people for what they did is to get them by disallowing their superdelegate status.

and I especially object to Debbie Dingell being allowed to vote as a superdel. ```` peace

I've been studying the whole Florida/Michigan bruhaha lately. I watched Michigan supporters of both Obama and Clinton arrive at a compromise that was very generous to Clinton get shot down by Hillary herself.
I've come to the conclusion that Hillary is not at all eager to see resolved the issue of how to seat the Florida and Michagan delegates.
I think that this is a political ploy by the Clinton campaign to create the illusion that the race is not over. And to sow chaos and confusion. ```` peace

I have seen it over and over..Hillary supporters here make comments but then ignore it when someone shows them the other side. They don't want to even discuss it.

from a 50% penalty to 100% penalty. FL voted after the first 4 states had voted, but before Feb. 5. Obama was the only candidate to break DNC rules by holding a small rally in FL and aired TV ads. Obama urged other candidates to take their names off the MI ballot to hurt Hillary in Iowa. http://iowaindependent.com/...

and if you actually would like to know...
the ad in Florida in January was part of a national ad buy.
Because it was national and not local it was ruled that there was no violation of the rules concerning not campaigning in Florida.
Florida ad?
I'm just trying to impart some information. I'm not looking for a fight hence the link to the article.

but Fowler isn't the Rules committee. She's an Obama supporter. And if Hillary had done it, how would you have responded?
by katz5 on Tue May 13, 2008 at 10:30:20 AM PDT
If Hillary had a national ad buy that happened to play in Florida, personally I would judge it the same.
There is no control over where it's going to air, therefore you can't call it campaigning in Florida.
I can't speak for anybody but myself and that is my opinion.
Have a good night! :-)
