I believe that we'll have a dynamite chance to oust Smith. It would betray my biases to not say that I think Jeff has the best chance, but either way he's going down!

as anti-war as he claims to be because he voted for a symbolic resolution that had as much meaning and affect as the kind that Congress passes congratulating the Red Sox on their World Series victory. But really, both sides have been pretty tame compared to Macpherson in the AG's race, and to whatever Smith does to our candidates.

Who couldn't bring herself to admit it was a colossal mistake to give Bush the authority to go to war. And not because Bush is incompetent. The Congress forgot about the ol' equal branches of government thing.
You know, I don't recall being strident early on with this HRes 2 thing. I finally blogged on it a month after it became an issue. By then I could see that Merkley was playing fast and unfriendly with the truth.
That's a deal breaker for me.
