for a long time.
I'm trying to recall the NGO that used to show up each Christmas with a 'goodie bag' that always had a pair of non-skid socks.
I worked outside of the VA and will tell you that SOCKS are a big problem in other 'care' settings. I had a problem with 2 boys and my own washer and dryer trying to keep socks in their drawers.
The VA has a lot of 'horrors' and shortages, but this seems like one that doesn't deserve a headline.
But I did like Dallasdoc's snark.

But socks seem like such a small thing, especially for such a large organization that certainly has no lack of logistical capability.
I can't expect to live in a democracy if I'm not prepared to do the work of being a citizen.

My kid's in Log and he's in Kuwait on his way North, again.
The VA has all those friends of Darth with the 'contracts'. Just sayin' those contractors don't deliver and they are NOT CHEAP.

I sincerely hope that in the next Congress an enterprising member will finally get that updated Truman Commission going, to look into all the war profiteering and criminal activity that has gone on around this war and in the Defense and Veterans' Depts. That alone could destroy the Republican party.

what HST's 1940 multiple billions (I think 40) that he saved would be worth today.
It's mind boggling.
It all happens in the Heartland of Virginia
