WV is 95% white. Michigan is 80%. It's like comparing apples and heads of lettuce.

Obama is doing fine in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Besides O is much stronger in other states than she is.
When liberals saw 9-11, we wondered how we could make the country safe. When conservatives saw 9-11, they saw an investment opportunity.

Being from Ohio, I can attest that whites in WV are demographically different from those of MI and most of Ohio. WV is, essentially, all Appalachia. Obama does poorly there (as everyone knows) but seeing as he's done quite well in other predominantly white areas (WI, IA, etc.) it seems preposterous to conclude that it's white voters in general that he has a problem connecting with but, rather, Appalachia.

that Obama is still struggling to recoup from accusations he is unpatriotic and elitist. We need Clinton(s) to go out and campaign hard for him in these areas to help correct that assumption.
Media telling WV not to vote and for the election to just stop because it is all settled also backfired- everyone wanted to have their say more than ever. And they obstinately went for Clinton- in part because they still trust Bill on the Economy and they like Hillary better than McCain. There are definitely people who will prefer McCain because he is a war hero in their books. This is why Obama campaigned here on veteran's issues and the GI Bill- which is smart. He needs a biography ad, and some veterans to travel around the state and endorse him.

We have to find ways to lift the region out of poverty as well. Part of the problem is that their very livelihood depends on the coal industry; so for Obama to win in that region, we will have to find some sort of alternative for people there.

His last commercial was good, but I don't know how often it aired.

but honestly it didn't air that much. I liked the gas ad a lot- gas is a big issue here. Gas tax proposal probably gained Hillary votes. West Virginians are NOT economists either.

100 percent of the voters were voting for a candidate who wants to pull the troops out of Iraq.
John McCain wants to keep the troops in Iraq.
100 percent of the voters were voting for a candidate who wants to make healthcare accessible to all.
John McCain's wants healthcare for the rich and the rest of you are sol.
Give Hillary Clinton her due. She's an awfully talented candidate.
John McCain is no Hillary Clinton.
