and Prime Ministers in Ireland (twice), India, Israel, Pakistan, United Kingdom, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other nations.  In the past there have been Queens of nations with monarchies who have been powerful, strong leaders.

Tell her that the US has a way to go at the national level but that some progress has been made in the past 2 decades with several female Senators, Members of Congress, Cabinet members, Governors, etc.

Women have ran for President over the past 50 years, and Hillary is the most successful female presidential candidate in US history to date.  She won't be the last.

Tell her that Hillary's campaign is a model for what to do and especially what NOT to do.

Frankly, with nearly 100% name recognition, a former president and numerous of his officials and staff on her side along with party insiders and boatloads of cash, she really blew it and it's a miracle that Senator Obama is going to be the nominee in part because he did many things much better than Hillary and her campaign did.
