Most of us were sitting around all day hearing rumors that it may or may not happen...you got the big surprise on the spot.
A live Obama rally is a must for every supporter.

Not only a real Edwards barn-burner, but brilliant Obama strategy--have Edwards make the reconciliation speech, and do so immediately after the relative nastiness and divisiveness of the West Virginia primary.
I have the feeling that everyone else in this campaign has been playing chess, and Obama's been playing Go.

I was there tonight and it was awesome. It was a brilliant strategy move on Obama's part to give a special gift to Michigan and the Edwards surprise was a real coup. Wow...For a former Edwards person and now working on the Obama Campaign [worked the event tonight] it was the perfect night.

I thought ..Hey wasn't it three jet skis? Forgive the crowd. Most were still in total shock that he was there endorsing. After Months of realizing we were robbed by our own party leadership of any participation in this election, we could hardly believe our eyes tonight.

He did an edWORDs segment where he said the key for his endorsement was a jet ski. ACtually, two jet skis. Very ROFLMFAO funny.

But it was Edwards who stole the show by commandeering Colbert's "Word" segment, or as he called it "EdWords." "No white male vote is being courted more vigorously than this one," Edwards joked. He said he's conflicted about whether to support Obama or Clinton because "on the one hand, I don't want to be seen as anti-hope. On the other hand, I don't want James Carville to bite me." He said he would vote for whoever best advocates for universal healthcare and fighting poverty -- or buys him a jet ski.

Oh and Obama and Clinton were on too! Very good episode. I guess the Colbert "bump" was effectively canceled out by all three showing up..hehe.

He cracked me up so much! He was the funniest on Colbert that night. I'm sure the folks who didn't "get" the jet ski joke last night will google it today and crack up about it - classic humor! Love it!

I think that it may well be the best Edwards speech ever.
I'm so relieved that the rumors of Edwards endorsing HRC were wrong.

Edwards spoke so well of Hillary and Obama. He really did the party a big favor with that speech. My favorite Edwards speech is this one though:

did you see Michelle at U of H? I volunteered at that rally. It was fun, but so hot and squished. I did get a free "Hope" T-shirt out of it! I had seen Barack the week before at the Toyota Arena.

And you saw me there. I was the 30 year old guy with heavy rimmed glasses just over Richardson's shoulder on the right side of your screen. It was awesome. My wife called me as the introductory speaker was talking and said, "Babe, your on TV." Sunday at Church, everyone kept asking how Barack was. I loved it.
The excitement was palpable. The wave went around Memorial Colosseum 5 full times. I've never even seen that for a sports team.

My early-teenage son worked with me volunteering for Obama in Indiana, including several hours soliciting for volunteers among people in line for a rally. We were rewarded with seats right behind his podium at the rally. It was an amazing experience, and one neither of us will ever forget.

and he had the crowd in his hand - and I was amazed at how diverse the crowd was for our area - and by diverse (here) I'm speaking about farmers, factory workers, kids, college students, the elderly, etc., etc.
And, yes, one young woman did faint and Obama did stop and have a water bottle passed to her. I've heard it's something Republicans have been complaining about - that his appearances are often like rock concerts with fainting females! (Jealousy!!)
