Its the delegates that count

That's why I'm pulling for Russ Feingold as VP.

... Americans accept the fact that the most scathing words uttered by opponents in a primary are instantly "inoperative" in the general election. George the first made "voodoo economics" practically part of the language when he ran against Reagan in the GOP primaries -- but no one had any problem with the Regan/Bush unity ticket of 1980.
If Hillary wants to be veepee -- and the absence of any words to the contrary from her or anyone in her camp suggest to me that she does -- Obama will give her the job. I see that as a very mixed blessing, but it's hard to imagine how Barack can say no.

is definitely a different world. Viral.
If Reagan and Bush were running today we would be having a lot more 'fun' with their statements.
Of course the decision is Obama's, but I do believe that he certainly has more choices than just "Clinton", and he gave him an out..several times.

We just may get a chance to see if the world of You Tube makes a difference in our collective memories... of course, if McCain picks Romney, he'll be in exactly the same situation.
Sure, Obama has many more choices than Clinton... but if she is interested, I don't see how he says no. It's an obvious fix to a lot of problems (though it creates problems as well), and it would be VERY popular among most Democrats (60% according to one poll out there).

But she made her bed and laid in it. Barack never played dirty with her and treated her with the respect of a candidate of his own party and mostly responded to her policies or her responses. But he never played her down as if she had no right being there on that stage. She crossed the line more then once and he gave her the benefit of the doubt. I am sorry but he was playing with one of his hands tied and still won, which is amazing. She deserves Jack shit. He was called sissy and a coward and he still stood up to his principles and she to her ambition.
He cannot have her for the simple reason that she has made his "electability" and his great qualities as good as crap. She cannot defend it later saying she did it to win. She cannot say she did not mean it. She made her bed, let her lay in it.

She (and Obama) will just have massive amnesia and act as if she never said what she said. That part of politics is inescapable.
